Governors
Welcome to our Governors’ section.
Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
Our Governing Body
The role of a governing body is to contribute to the strategic view of where the school is heading, and to hold the school to account for the educational standards and experiences that it provides. Barwell Infant School benefits greatly from the support and expertise of our governing body.
We are always looking to recruit more governors, if this is something that may interest you, and you would like more information about the role then please do have a chat with Terena our Headteacher.
If you wish to contact our Chair of Governors, Edward Gummow, the best way to do so is by leaving a letter with the school office.

Governor Vacancies
From time to time, vacancies on our governing body will arise. When this happens, parents will be informed of the type of vacancy that has arisen; and the process that anyone who is interested will need to follow.
Governors hold a public office and are expected to abide, at all times, by the principles governing those in public life ~ selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
